International Medical Insurance

This provides cover for people working and living abroad. You will have to pay for medical treatment when you are outside of the UK and this can be quite a shock for those who have relied on the protective wing of the NHS.

Prices will vary according to your ages and the part of the world in which you reside. The most expensive will always be for people living in the USA and Canada. Please ensure you let us know on the enquiry form which country/countries you will be residing in.

If you share your time between the UK and abroad and want cover to include both then you need to bear in mind that International Medical Insurance will be approximately twice as expensive as a UK only scheme. It may be better to take out a UK scheme and a Travel scheme that will give you cover for up to 90 days at a time abroad.

Please note that we have special schemes for expatriates who live in Spain, Portugal or France.
